Maxio MAP1202
This method only works with NVMe drives that use the Maxio MAP1202 controller.
It is highly recommended to buy an NVMe drive with a Maxio MAP1202 controller if you plan to spoof your SSD serial number frequently. Here are some recommendations listed below.
It’s unclear whether this method works with Secure Boot and TPM enabled or disabled. However, after the spoofing process, it’s likely safe to re-enable both settings.
Guide: How to Spoof your Serial Number on a Maxio MAP1202 Controller
Step 0: Purchase an SSD (if you don't already have one).
If you want to spoof your SSD s/n without a driver, think about getting a ssd with an Maxio MAP1202 Controller. I can give you some recommendations but choose yourself
Step 0.5: Prepare
Now that you have your SSD, let’s begin by downloading the required tools.
Step 1: Set Everything up
Open CrystalDiskInfo and take a screenshot of your original serial number.
Then open the "map1202tool.zip", and extract every file.
Now open "MXMPTool_MAP1202_USB_V0_01_009d.exe" as an Administrator.
If everything was done correctly, your first entry should be highlighted in yellow. (see below)

Step 2: Change Serials
If your first entry is highlighted in yellow, follow these steps:
Switch to the "Test Items" tab and copy my settings:

Now switch to the "Device Setting" tab and change your values: Firmware Version: Only numbers, max. 8 chars. Model Number: Only letters, max. 20 chars. Serial Number: Mix of letters and numbers, max. 13 chars
Switch back to the "Main Page" and press Start. If the spoof is successful, the entry will turn green and the status will change to "Pass". Restart your PC, or disconnect the NVMe-to-USB adapter and plug it back in.
Open CrystalDiskInfo and check your new serial number.
